Marcus Brigstocke's TV programme covering the FA1 Championships at the 2008 BMFA Nationals stated that the United Kingdom model flying trade was worth a staggering £80m. The programme did not state what period that covered, but if it was meant to be per year, that represents an average spend of over £2,000 for each of the 36,000 UK flyers enjoying the hobby!
 
Looking truly stunning, John Wheater's Dakota DC-3 comes in on approach on its maiden flight on Sunday 26th April at Barkston Heath, UK.
