  • Here's an item or two from the latest catalogues, magazine advertising or websites  - not  necessarily all new products on the market, but items large and small that may be of interest.

  • If you contact any supplier as a result of reading this page, please be sure to mention ModelFlight.
New Cat on the Corner is George Jarvis's 'Chira' (pronounced Ki-ra), keeping a watchful eye on George as he builds a Big Stick ARF. George comes from Newfoundland, Canada, and was profiled on ModelFlight in June last year, when his personal website was also featured. I particularly remember his beautiful wood turning and very attractive B&B that he and his wife, Lorraine, offer!  If you're a cat-loving model flyer, send a picture of your moggie and he or she could well appear here!

Phil Ramsey's Mini Gladiator - ideal for electric!

From Phil Ramsey Models comes this delightful and highly detailed 44" wingspan model. The model has moulded glassfibre fuselage and cowl, foam veneer wings and injection moulded interplane struts, plus many other moulded components and with its marked panel lines and pilot included, it has a great scale appearance.

The plane is said to be ideal for electric power, a Speed 600 geared motor with a 7 x 2400mAh power pack being suggested - but it's equally suitable for glow engine power. The cost is £120.

Phil Ramsay is a plastics engineer with some 40 years modelling experience. As a toolmaker/mould designer with in-house moulding facilities, his kits differ from others because he has the ability to create moulds for small component parts. This means all parts are identical in each kit and are cheap and easy to replace.

Another interesting moulded item that Phil produces is this set of Sport Skis - great fun for an outlay of £15.50!
