Hi
friends,
First of
all, a thousand thanks to all who have sent me Christmas and New Year greetings,
which I have very much appreciated. Quite a few of you have made specific reference to
just how much you enjoy each fortnightly issue of ModelFlight
and that is really gratifying - one friend, who I suspect would prefer to remain
anonymous, really surprised me with a very nice dedicated and personalised
Christmas card together with a lovely letter, all sent through the good old
traditional Christmas post in an envelope carrying the ModelFlight
logo! Those go into my personal archive - not the web-based one!
Speaking
of which (i.e., the ModelFlight archive), I regret that server problems
prevented me from archiving issues 48 (which I thought I had already finished,
but hadn't!), 49 and 50. My usual practice is to put the current issue up on the archive
server immediately prior to up-loading the next, but when I went to put up #49,
I found the server inaccessible. That meant that some links to the archive on
the last issue were not working andf for the moment, issues 48 - 50 are not up
on the archive. Our good friend Gary Clemans-Gibbon of www.angryrhino.net
who hosts the archive on his server is working on the problem and I hope it will
not be long before it is complete once more.
I take
this opportunity of wishing you all a very happy New Year. I hope you will
continue to visit and enjoy this site and I very much look forward to your
contributions.
Regards to all,
