THIS is the page for
aero-model pictures - your own, or others you've seen at the club or at
a show; they are all welcome if they're nice to look at!
If you're not into digital photography or
scanning pictures, why not send some photos by regular mail? It's not too
pricey; a batch of five or
six photos costs $1.00 airmail postage from the USA, for example. My address is on
the home
page. |

Jets on show in Sweden
|
|

|
Tore Loodin sent this picture of a
couple of jets on display at the "Hobby mässen" show at
Frescati, Sweden. The model in the background is a SAAB J29
"Flying Barrel" being spooled up. The spectators are holding
their hands to their ears because of the powerful noise! In the foreground
is a SAAB J31 "Viggen".

Test Valley Model Flying Club recent first appearances

Tony Saunders has just built this lovely little model, Chantilly
Lace. Built from a magazine plan, it has a 51"
wingspan and 12" chord; Tony has fitted it with an OS 46LA engine.
"Flies nice, lands nice, ideal first low winger," he says. I
hear that Tony has been commissioned to build another one for somebody
in the club. The
top picture was taken for me by Tony's six-year-old son, Callum -
thanks, Callum.

Test Pilot Gordon Cook (but
without his helmet this time!), checks out the delightful little indoor
slow-fly D11, built from an RCM&E plan by Jim
Barnett. The air was so still, they decided to give it a go outdoors
- it performed very well, but we were all surprised at just how very
slowly it flew!

Nice to hear from Johny
Hollinshead
Johny sent these pictures of his Ultimate
Bipe at construction stage and finished. The power is provided by
an OS 70 Surpass 4-stroke (juicy!) and since taking the picture, Johny has
added spats. The pilot is Mary - not easily seen even in the larger
picture. Just as well, 'cause I think she's that little busty figure
we've probably all seen and I don't want to lose my family-friendly
status! |

A couple of particularly
unusual gliders here - what's the special name for these gliding
models of non-gliding aircraft?
Visit SCSA on club

Send ModelFlight a picture of your aero model
Large or small, kit, scratch built or ARTF, rotary or fixed-wing,
electric, rubber, i/c or gas turbine, r/c or free flight, it matters not - and they
don't have to be perfect, either. If you like it, let's see it!
Just use the e-mail facility at the foot of any ModelFlight
page or send
details and pictures by regular mail.
