It's true! It would be good to meet YOU on this personal profile page, so please join the fun and send some details of yourself, your family, modelling and other interests and anything else you care to tell us about, and let's get to know you!

You can either e-mail your information from the post-box at the foot of this page or use the Response Form below - and if you've got a picture of yourself, so much the better!

Meet Jim Slaughter

Jim has been in touch with ModelFlight for a good while now, so it's particularly good to get to know him a bit better!

Jim is a Parks and recreation Director located in Tampa, Florida, USA. He is 57 years of age, married to Dorothy, and they have two adult sons, Todd (32) and Matthew (27).

Jim has been into model planes for 50 years now (he started young!), and is currently into everything from slow fly and indoor electrics to giant gas scale warbirds and everything else in between.

His models? - too many to mention them all, he says. Those he currently flies are a Trick Zagi 400X (see photo gallery), a Northeast Sailplanes Pleaser 280, a Pico Cub, a Hangar 9 Cap 232, a ModelTech Sukhoi, a World Models Chipmunk, a Tecate Bipe, an electric Chipmunk, a Lite Stik, a 72" EP sailplane, a Chinese park flyer that he imported, an Ohio R/C Extra 300, a Sig 300XS, a Sudokhoi fun flyer, an Ace 440 and several other airplanes still unbuilt - phew!

Jim belongs to West Pasco Model Pilots (see club scene), Bay City Flyers and Pelican Soaring Group. In addition to his model flying, other interests are sailing (the real ones) and surfing the net.

Introducing Leslie Baynham

Leslie is another established ModelFlight reader. He, too, is 57 years old, and lives at Southend, Essex, UK.

Leslie is an Assistant Manager, is married to Gerry; they have two daughters, Zoe (28) and Leah (23).

Leslie likes to fly fixed wing aircraft, including gliders, and describes his current range of models as "all sorts"! He belongs to Southend-on-Sea Radio Flying Club for whom we have displayed one or two events 'advertisements' on recent issues.

Join in the fun, send ModelFlight an e-mail and tell us about yourself, your family, hobbies and interests, what you do for a living, how long you've been model-making, what club you belong to, etc. - in fact as much or as little as you see fit. Include a picture of yourself if you can.

Your e-mail address will be shown unless you specifically ask for it not to appear. Picture files ideally need to be in JPG format for best colour reproduction and to minimise time on-line.

If you want to send me pictures by conventional mail, my address is

Reg Heath, 60 South View Gardens, Andover, Hants, SP10 2AQ, UK
