Hi friends,

After mentioning my problems with sending out group e-mails on the last issue, I was pleasantly  surprised to receive a 'phone call from David Lloyd-Jones offering me helpful advice. Basically, David was suggesting I try another ISP, particularly in the light of his own knowledge of Freeserve, who I use. To be honest, other than for the frustration of this limitation on group sizes imposed by Freeserve, I have never had any serious delays, hang-ups or other problems with them and am reluctant to switch service providers - and having to change my e-mail and website addresses in order to do so. All the same, it was really good to make one-to-one contact and I take this opportunity of thanking David for his kindness in 'phoning me. I also enjoyed talking with David about his web site 'Magazines and Books' on which he specialises in buying and selling model flight magazines.

Air space this issue carries a great article by Ray Datodi sent to me by Ian Greenacre from Australia. It highlights an aspect of charging high-capacity batteries that I have never seen mentioned before and introduces an absolutely superb charger that deals with all the issues raised!

Go to work in progress for news of Chris Hardie's keenly-awaited Blohm & Voss MB141 test flight!

Regards to all,

Our opening screen shows Ron Horrell's 1/4 scale Precedent Stampe, beautifully finished in the Rothman colours and which we last saw on 'work in progress' #41. Click the mini-pic on the left to return to the cover screen or the thumbnail on the right to see an unobscured view of the shot. It appears again on work in progress, together with Ron's account of the test flight.
