Hi friends,

Take a look at site seeing for some very good news for electric fliers, especially those just starting out or contemplating doing so - it's the nearest thing to a free gift you are likely to get through ModelFlight and it comes courtesy of Graham of Graham McAllister Designs, who is a reader of this site. There's also another fascinating site to take a look at - just go and see!

My thanks to Ian Slaughter for a nice article on model painting - Ian made a brilliant job of hand-painting his scale Focke Wulf using Nelson Specialties System Three paints and talks us through it on air space - runs and all!

Within hours of getting home from a good day out last Sunday, October 14th, Tom Watson sent me a report of an enjoyable scale rally he attended at the Sydney Radio Control Society, Australia, and just five days later, it's here for you to read about. I've popped it on photo gallery because it's got some good pictures, and club scene is a bit crowded this issue. There were some brilliant models being flown, and I'm hoping some of the other competitors might send us a picture or two of their masterpieces.

To add to the Australian flavour, although purely coincidental as ever, there's news of activity on the opposite side of Oz with a profile of Ian Greenacre, editor of a splendid magazine produced for the AWA (Aeromodellers of Western Australia) and a review of the magazine itself on club scene. I was privileged to be added to the circulation list of the September issue - thanks, Ian!

Regards to all,
