THIS is the page for
aero-model pictures - your own, or others you've seen at the club or at
a show; they are all welcome if they're nice to look at!
If you're not into digital photography or
scanning pictures, why not send some photos by regular mail? It's not too
pricey; a batch of five or
six photos costs $1.00 airmail postage from the USA, for example. My address is on
home
page. |

John
Anderson's Monocoupe (one of them!)
"A friend flew the blue Monocoupe
for me today and said it flew great. It has more than enough power even
at 7½ lbs. When he put the flaps down, the pitch didn't change and it
just slowed down. Left, take off with a slight cross wind and right,
a slow pass over the field with the flaps down."

John
also sent this interesting item:
Here is a model by Frank Mizer.
It won first place in a scale competition at Toledo in 1997, I believe.
He sells the plans for it along with the Monocoupe, a Lysander and an
LVG. It is a very beautiful model - I don't know how anyone can get such
detail in a model.
John's pictures are of a
Felixstowe F2-A flying boat from 1918 - used by the British to keep
coastal shipping routes open, according to the notes on the model stand.

New
ModelFlighter, Keith Kingsbury, has sent his first and very
welcome contribution, including a useful tip:
I have attached a photo of Derek and
myself on an afternoon on Cowbridge Common, one of our favourite flying
sites. I really enjoy flying the Twinstar, it's a perfect plane
for beginners like me, very forgiving and easy to fly. It's also very
tough and easy to repair, which I have found out!!
I don't know of any of the members
know, but after a very hard abrupt landing I broke the wing on the
Twinstar but successfully boned the wing back together using expanding
filler foam; it worked a treat and fills any gaps of missing bodywork
and can be sanded down the next day. I hope this is of use to any of the
club members.

beautiful Bucker Jungmeister of which I know nothing except that
Brent keeps it in Australia (he must go there to thaw out!).

CRASH
CORNER - JUST FOR FUN!
'Rocketman' Mark
Pokrywka of Northshore RCC holds his Extra aloft after losing
in the combat event at their first Johnny Smith Memorial Fly-in. It was
all in a good cause, though, as you will see on club
scene.

Send ModelFlight a picture of your aero model
Large or small, kit, scratch built or ARTF, rotary or fixed-wing,
electric, rubber, i/c or gas turbine, r/c or free flight, it matters not - and they
don't have to be perfect, either. If you like it, let's see it!
