THIS is the page for aero-model pictures - your own, or others you've seen at the club or at a show; they are all welcome if they're nice to look at!

If you're not into digital photography or scanning pictures, why not send some photos by regular mail?  It's not too pricey; a batch of five or six photos costs $1.00 airmail postage from the USA, for example. My address is on home page.

Three more new models seen on my club field recently:
colinscapiche.jpg (52768 bytes)neilscontact20.jpg (34108 bytes)markwebstersgiles.jpg (40911 bytes)

Left, Colin Grace's Capiche, built by Christ Hardie from RCM&E plans.
Centre, Neil Scratchley's Contact 140, pre-decorated, but since it's taken him two years to get this far, don't hold your breath for the finished photo!
Right, Guest Mark Webster's Flair Giles 202 - amazingly quiet and a treat to watch Mark's impressive aerobatic flying.

This gorgeous DH Canada Chipmunk is used for aero-towing by Sandhays Scale Gliding Association. See club scene for news of their up-coming event. sandhayschipmunkWGVMod03.jpg (21077 bytes)

An interesting album from Zdenik Drbal  from Czech Republic

zdeneksul.jpg (28135 bytes) Zdenik's delightful scratch-built model ultra-light. Zdenek describes how he made this model: "I took a piece of ply 150 x 350 mm and made the hole for the engine, connected the special metallic fitting for wings and the parts of the fuselage. Engine is Czech production MVVS 0·6. The wings have classical construction with ribs and wood spars. The ribs were cut from material similar to hard assembly foam. The cover of the wings is film. The fuselage was made from pieces of laminate fishing rods. The tail with the rudder and the elevators are classical construction from balsa wood and film covering. The radio set is in the cockpit gondola under the pilot. Radio is 4-channel. The braces under the wings are functional, above the wings there are the cords and the stick above the fuselage is made from ski-stick. The fuselage wings and tail are connected with 4 mm bolts. The wingspan of this model is about 2·2 meters, length about 1·4 meters and the weight  4300 grams.  Zdenik's Commander, 1750 mm wingspan and powered by a Raduga 10 engine of Russian origin. zdenekcommander.jpg (25715 bytes)
zdenekul1.jpg (30400 bytes) 1:12 semi-scale model of  Sopwith Strutter. Wingspan of this model is about 1460 mm, engine is Czech MVVS 0·6 (10 ccm), radio 4-channel (engine, ailerons, elevator, rudder). This model flys really well and the plan is of Czech manufacture. The original engine for this model is 0·45 (6,5 ccm), but the larger engine has proved to be better and helped to meet the need to have greater weight at the nose of this model. Send ModelFlight a picture of your aero model

Large or small, kit, scratch built or ARTF, rotary or fixed-wing, electric, rubber, i/c or gas turbine, r/c or free flight, it matters not - and they don't have to be perfect, either. If you like it, let's see it!

Just use the e-mail facility at the foot of any ModelFlight page or send details and pictures by regular mail.
