THIS is the page for
aero-model pictures - your own, or others you've seen at the club or at
a show; they are all welcome if they're nice to look at!
If you're not into digital photography or
scanning pictures, why not send some photos by regular mail? It's not too
pricey; a batch of five or
six photos costs $1.00 airmail postage from the USA, for example. My address is on
home
page. |

An interesting
album from Zdenik Drbal from Czech Republic |
 |
Zdenik's
delightful
scratch-built model ultra-light. Zdenek describes how he made this
model: "I took a piece of ply 150 x 350 mm and made the hole for
the engine, connected the special metallic fitting for wings and the
parts of the fuselage. Engine is Czech production MVVS 0·6. The wings
have classical construction with ribs and wood spars. The ribs were cut from
material similar to hard assembly foam. The cover of the wings is film.
The fuselage was made from pieces of laminate fishing rods. The tail
with the rudder and the elevators are classical construction from balsa
wood and film covering. The radio set is in the cockpit gondola under
the pilot. Radio is 4-channel. The braces under the wings are functional,
above the wings there are the cords and the stick above the fuselage is
made from ski-stick. The fuselage wings and tail are connected with 4 mm
bolts. The wingspan of this model is about 2·2 meters, length about
1·4 meters and the weight 4300 grams. |

Zdenik's Commander,
1750 mm wingspan and powered by a Raduga 10 engine of Russian origin. |
 |
 |
|
1:12 semi-scale model of Sopwith
Strutter. Wingspan of this model is about 1460 mm, engine is Czech
MVVS 0·6 (10 ccm), radio 4-channel (engine, ailerons, elevator, rudder).
This model flys really well and the plan is of Czech manufacture. The original engine for this model is
0·45 (6,5 ccm), but the larger engine has proved to be better and
helped to meet the need to have greater weight
at the nose of this model.

Large or small, kit, scratch built or ARTF, rotary or fixed-wing,

don't have to be perfect, either. If you like it, let's see it!
