THIS is the page for aero-model pictures - your own, or others you've seen at the club or at a show; they are all welcome if they're nice to look at!

If you're not into digital photography or scanning pictures, why not send me some photos by regular mail?  It's not too pricey; a batch of five or six photos costs $1.00 airmail postage from the USA, for example. My address is on home page.

These lovely models are from the hangar of LARS WINBERG, who hails from Täby, near Stockholm, Sweden. Lars is introduced on the personal profiles page

I was delighted to hear from BOB NICOL again, this time with pictures of two of DENIS RICHARDSON'S latest fine models. Left, his Spitfire and right, a Beaufighter.

And now for something completely different, as they say!

This is SCOTT THOMPSON with his flying lawnmower - must be the original Flymo, I guess.

Scott lives in northern Indiana and flies at South Bend RC club. The lawnmower has an old OS 61 FX that has had about 30 gallons of fuel run through it. The mower is built mostly of white foam that has been strengthened with a 50/50 mix of wood glue and water. It's painted with latex house paint and weighs about 7.5 lb. Scott says it flies pretty good [for a lawnmower] and will loop, roll, and fly inverted. He built it mainly because they have school kids come out to the club for a field trip a few times a year and he thought they would get a kick out of it. It turns out the big kids [adults] get a kick out of it too!

We have had two or three club members venturing into helicopters at our club in recent weeks. Here's NEIL SCRATCHLEY'S Kyosho Concept 30 at hover practice. For his very early flights, Neil also tethered his training undercarriage so that he could not get above a height where the machine could tip over - something I have never seen done before, but certainly worked for Neil who also says that flying his little Hoverfly indoor helicopter has been a real help in getting to grips with the Concept. neilscopter.jpg (31101 bytes)

Send ModelFlight a picture of your aero model

Large or small, kit, scratch built or ARTF, rotary or fixed-wing, electric, rubber or i/c, r/c or free flight, it matters not - and they don't have to be perfect, either. If you like it, let's see it!

Just use the e-mail facility at the foot of any ModelFlight page or send details and pictures by regular mail.
