| Being keen to support local
endeavour, I'm pleased to bring you JB Aviation's latest creation:
The
new JB Merlin - A Wizard to Fly!
Described as sleek and slim,
with the lines of a 1930s racer, she is the first production design from
the drawing board of Ben Ball. She's intended to be the perfect first
low-winger for pilots progressing from JB Aviation's Kite trainer, and
in fact is so docile and friendly she could - almost! - be used as a
basic trainer herself. Like JB's SuperSport, however, the Merlin has
large control surfaces and with full deflections and full power she
makes a delightfully lively sports model for the more experienced pilot.
Tech. Spec:
Span:
63.5"
Power: 40-46
2-stroke, 45-52 4-stroke.
Radio: 4/5
channel (5 servos), flap mixing if required.
Configuration: Taildragger
Weight: 5-5.5lbs
The kit follows the JB tradition
of self-jigging 100% CNC-cut fuselage components, and is quick and easy
to build. The built-up wing is also a self-jigging assembly - even if
you hate building wings you'll love this one, they say! The radial
cowling is a high-quality glass moulding, and comprehensive hardware and
graphics are included as usual.
