No 36
June 2, 2001
Hi
friends,
As
mentioned on ModelFlight
#35, this issue has a bit of a special
Canadian flavour, with a visit to a Canadian club on club
scene and photos from several club galleries on photo
gallery. I also had a request from Tom Wightman to go on to the reminder
mailing list and when he kindly replied to my invitation to introduce himself
with a personal profile, by happy coincidence
it turned out he comes from Canada.
There are
still a considerable number of clubs here in the UK whose activities remain
curtailed by the foot and mouth disease disaster, so for many enthusiasts a
visit to the Sandown Model Symposium over this weekend (2/3 June) will be
particularly welcome. There is always a pretty massive trade presence in the
exhibition halls with all sorts of tempting offers, as well as a great flying
programme throughout the day. Flair products have included me in on their press
release for their new Stearman which they will be having on show, and you can
read a bit more about this very attractive model on cats
corner.
Denis Wolff is moving home this
weekend to be nearer his family, so I take this opportunity of wishing him well
in his new home and I'm sure we all hope he has found the model flying club he was looking for.
Regards to all,
