Here's where we take a look at other websites of model-flight interest. It might be a commercial site or one belonging to another enthusiast or specialist group. Let me know if you've come across a nice site that you think is worth a look - it could, of course, be your site if you let me know your URL!

It wasn't so much the site itself that caught my imagination, but the two very interesting models featured on it.

This company is dedicated to bringing new and original aircraft designs developed specifically for sport flying, and at very reasonable cost, to the average builder/flyer. "Much as we love them," say the proprietors, "we will never produce a Piper Cub or a P-51"!

The home page is nice and simple, setting out the ethos of the company and providing links to their two featured models - the Crossbow and Phase 2, both very interesting.

Crossbow is a fully-sheeted, permanently mounted joined wing design and extremely elegant! The laser cut kit comes with a full hardware kit from DuBro; the model has a 52" wingspan and is designed for ·30 - 46 2-stroke engine and 4-channel radio. Cost $139.95

phase2.jpg (89791 bytes)The second model being offered by Leading Edge Inc is the Phase 2 - and this one I find very tempting! Said to feature a new building technique that's guaranteed to produce a straight, warp-free wing, this model has a 65" wingspan with a lovely-looking forward-swept wing,  is 52" long overall and is designed for ·60 2-stroke engine. "Fully aerobatic, but lands like a baby." $159.95.
