Marty
Moleski's R/C Photo Album
What a wonderful site this is for just being nosey and
sharing the sheer enthusiasm of another r/c fanatic - after all, unless
you know him, for what other reason could you possibly want to know
about Marty and his friends? Marty's site is a
great collection of 30 pages of his own comments, pictures and
experiences of the model flight world and those he shares it with.
On the site you will find information on the clubs
Marty belongs to, aerial photographs, Marty and his buddies, useful
check lists, other people's models, events calendars and a host of other
fascinating bits and pieces.
I particularly liked Before and After, being a
pictorial record of some of the models that Marty has loved and lost
(quite a few!), many being accompanied by wittily succinct comments like
this one on his Wallflower (Ultrasport 40)
- click the pic if the text is indistinct.
Marty
is Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Canisius College,
Buffalo, N. York. Having long had an ambition to get into r/c model
flight, Marty promised himself that some day he would celebrate his PhD
(awarded in 1991) by kitting himself up. In 1996 he took the plunge when
Mark Kriz, a fellow Jesuit, moved into his college and showed Marty his
own collection of r/c models - he could resist no longer and he doesn't appear to have looked back
since!
Visit Marty's site at http://zeus.rcwizard.com/~mxmrcpix
where you will also find some good links to other interesting model
flight information and material. I've borrowed a picture or two of
Marty's for the photo gallery page. |
