family, modelling and other interests and anything else you care to tell us about and let's get to know you!You can either e-mail your information from the post-box at the

Pictured
here with his Limbo Dancer, this is KENT RANDALL, known on the web as Dr
Evil!
Kent is 31 years of age and lives in Hereford,
U.K., where he works in instrumentation for a water company. He is a
member of Bromyard and Leominster Model Aero Club, a small club
with a limited membership of 20 members.
Kent has been flying models for two-and-a-half
years now, during which time he has built a considerable number. His
latest is a SuperNova Pattern ship which he test flew on
14th January - see his report on the post box
page. Kent has also made a camera holder which works off the gear function of his Sanwa RD6000
radio, which he hopes to try out soon. If it
works, we may well see an item on the equipment and the results on a
future ModelFlight.
Here is a listing of the models Kent
has built, together with his personal summary of each!
Cambrian Instructor - good
model
Precedent Hi fly - hmmmm!
Wild Foot - Sid King - excellent!
Moncho Pattern ship - frightening at my then current standard
Silhouette - Priory Models - excellent first low-winger!
Rave 3D fun fly - the puppies privates!
Koyosho Spitfire - easy finishing, good flying; very poor
mounting for the fixed or retractable undercarriage
Glens Models Baby Cap 232 - wow! easy build, easy aerobatics in
good style
Enlarged Limbo Dancer - 76" wingspan and SC108 engine
Pegasus Models Lazer 200 - bad engine to start; awaiting Moki
2·1!
Silhouette - SuperNova Pattern ship - test flight scheduled for
14th Jan; looks good and builds well
Ken
has a website that you might like to visit and which
also combines information
about Bromyard and Leominster MAC. There are pictures of some of
his models, including this one of his Cap 232 by Glens Models.

meet MIKE MASTERS
a brand-new recruit to the ranks of aero-modelling,
and he loves it!
MIKE is 28 years old and is company director of a
security systems firm.
He lives in Wrexham, North Wales, and is married to
PAULA. They have three children by Mike's reckoning - LAUREN (8), LOWRI
(2) and one as yet unknown (-6 months).
We first heard from Mike on the last ModelFlight
when he told us he was giving aero-modelling a try as an aid to giving
up smoking (I hope it's still working, Mike!) and he has built the Flair
Piper Cub, 72" wingspan, ·42 2-stroke engine.
Mike has just joined Wrexham Model Aircraft Club
and is already enjoying and benefiting from his membership.
Other interests are angling, riding his motor bike
(when it's warmer) and driving his 1984 Jaguar XJS HE.
Welcome to the hobby, Mike, and
thanks for coming on board ModelFlight. There's
some correspondence from Mike on the post box page and you can see his
Flair Cub build on the 'models in the making' page which is accessed
from the photo gallery page. |
Join in the fun, send ModelFlight an
e-mail and tell us about yourself, your family, hobbies and interests, what you
do for a living, how long you've been model-making, what club you belong to,
etc. - in fact as much or as little as you see fit. Include a picture of yourself
if you can.
Your
e-mail address will be shown unless you specifically ask for it not to
appear. Picture files ideally need to be in JPG format for
best colour reproduction and to minimise time on-line.
If you want to send me pictures by conventional mail, my address
is
Reg Heath, 60 South View Gardens, Andover, Hants, SP10 2AQ, UK
