  • Here's where we take a look at another website of model-flight interest. It might be a commercial site or one belonging to another enthusiast or specialist group. Let me know if you've come across a nice site that you think is worth a look - it could, of course, be your site if you let me know your URL!

This is the nice clean opening page of this Australian company's website which I've visited out of curiosity because they are mentioned on the air space page as stocking the new TurboJet Technologies TJT 2500 gas turbine engine featured there.

This page comes up as part of an opening sequence, and from here you are automatically moved on to the main News page of the site.

We are, in fact, visiting a shop of the sort with which most of us are familiar - stacked to (and on!) the ceiling with all those lovely r/c goodies that we just can't do without, with the happy, friendly proprietor keen to assist us in parting us from our money - but we really do love 'em, don't we?! The proprietor in this case is Brian Simpson and I guess this might be him.

From the News page, you can move on to further pages on the site, each one specializing in products relating to a particular aspect of radio control modelling - Helicopters, Aeroplanes, Cars, Engines, Radio, Accessories, plus the usual Links and Contact pages.

Each of the individual subject pages carries a nice selection of stocked items, with good specifications and well-illustrated, although the large number of pictures means some pages take some time to download. No prices are quoted, and you are requested to e-mail to check price and availability for the items featured or for any other r/c items you may be looking for. As far as the aircraft and helicopters are concerned, all the main manufacturers are there - JR, Robbe, Kyosho, Great Planes, Tru Flite, etc. One less familiar to me (but probably known to most of you!) was BVM (Bob Violett Models) and I rather liked the look of their 72" wingspan Bandit, pictured below.
