  • Tell us all about your model flying club. E-mail me with some idea of the sort of facilities you have, size of membership, flying rules, subscription rates, training facilities, types of model flown, social activities, special events, site availability, guest arrangements, frequency of meetings, location, or anything else you can think to mention. Pictures will also be most welcome, and if you want to send me pictures by conventional post, my address now appears on the home page. If your club has a website, let me know the address and I will pay you a virtual visit!

Cheyenne Radio Control Club
Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA

This looks and sounds like an interesting, active and fun club, based in Wyoming, USA.

CRCCfield.jpg (40523 bytes)The Club has been operating from its nicely-equipped site for 10 years now and has 27 members. They have a very lively calendar of events, including monthly funfly/picnics throughout the flying season, hosting an annual bigbird funfly each June and joining in with other area club events.

In addition to their regular flying sessions at the club field, CRCC also holds a monthly evening meeting at their local Westgate Community Building .

ERIC KLER, who maintains the club's website, tells me that the club is lucky to have a diverse group of members who fly anything from giant warbirds to funflys to helicopters - there are two or three pictures of members' planes on the photo gallery page. Eric says they really are a very laid-back bunch and they have a good time when they get together.

Here's the banner atop Cheyenne Radio Control Club's website, with this jolly little animated gif to welcome you with the slogan "We never tire of stirring air!"

The website is attractively laid out and the home page carries links to pages featuring the club newsletter, details of their field - directions, weather and other information, - a good photo gallery, events calendar, links, club officers, humour (including cartoons that have also appeared here on ModelFlight - they certainly get around!), and some practical tips relating to the business of flying.

Sounds like a good club and one well-worth belonging to!

The club website address is http://zeus.rcwizard.com/~cheyennerc
