| I thought we
might have a look at one of the major model manufacturers on this
edition of 'site seeing', so I visited the GRAUPNER site at http://www.graupner.de
GRAUPNER
is, of course, a German company so you will initially download their
German language homepage. If German is not your mother-tongue, there's a
quick link on the home page to their international version which is the
one shown in this much-reduced screenshot, which is shown merely to give
you an impression of the site.
From the home page, you can then link to the 13
further pages of the site, each one specialising in particular products
or services (model cars, boats, several categories of planes,
helicopters, r/c equipment, agents, etc.).
I must confess, I have only really thought of Graupner
in terms of their range of Heim helicopters and UNI mechanics, so it was
interesting to see something of their extensive range of planes of all
shapes, sizes and types. Here's a small selection.
A very graceful
looking lady, the DISCUS 2 SAILPLANE, 3340 mm wingspan,
ready-made wings with hard veneer covering.

gear or retractable 3-point landing gear. Takes the Graupner UNI-Mechanics
designed to fit their range of lovely heli bodies.

suitable for 26 - 35 size two-stroke or 50 size 4-stroke
engines. It has a GRP sandwich type fuselage and balsa planked
