THIS is the page for aero-model pictures - your own, or others you've seen at the club or at a show; they are all welcome if they're nice to look at!

If you're not into digital photography or scanning pictures, why not send me some photos by regular mail?  It's not too pricey; a batch of five or six photos costs $1.00 airmail postage from the USA, for example. My home address is on the home page.

This is TOM WATSON pictured with his magnificent Flair TIGER MOTH at his field in Sydney, Australia.

The model is covered with Scale Stits fabric, with rib stitching and pinking tape. Tom has also used Jerry Nelson's streamlined flying wires which really make it look authentic. It is a model of a full-size Tiger Moth that lives in Australia and it's powered by an Enya 1·55 4-stroke, has a Pete's Pilot and Tom uses a Futaba 9ZAP radio.

Tom mentioned that he made all the decals on his PC using a small vinyl sign cutter. I asked him if he could tell me more about that and you can find out the outcome of that request on the air space page. Meet Tom on the personal profiles page.

Here is the second clutch of a recent batch of pics from High Peak Model Flying Club, kindly sent to me by our good friend BOB NICOL. Click these thumbnails for the larger view.

This SPITFIRE is one of three that BOB CASTLE build about 12 months ago. Powered by an Irvine 61, it's certainly a fine-looking model

Here is Jeff Slack's collection of CAPS - two Hangar 9's powered with IS 160 engines and all the rest powered by OS 91s. There must be a nice collective noun for such a collection, but I can't think of one!

"This model is a mystery", says Bob, "one of our learners picked it up at a swap meet. It looks like a bag of *#!$, but it flies like a dream - super stable and very responsive when it needs to be; we all volunteer to take him up just to have a go. Has anybody out there got a name for it? - no prizes, just a bit of fun." Printable suggestions via ModelFlight, please!

You're quite right - you did see this one on Modelflight #18, but I now have a bit more information on it, courtesy of CRAIG TRICKETT. The model is of a Bell Long Ranger and is owned by SYLVAIN ALLARD. The heli is powered by an OS61 with TSK internals. The colours are of Canadian Helicopters of which Sylvain is President and he has set it up for scale flying.

Send us a picture of your aero model

Large or small, kit, scratch built or ARTF, rotary or fixed-wing, it matters not - and they don't have to be perfect, either. If you like it, let's see it!

Just use the e-mail facility at the foot of any ModelFlight page or send details and pictures by regular mail.
