Hi
friends,
Summer in
the UK has well and truly gone now - in fact, some of us wondered if it ever
arrived in the first place! To be fair, though, there were some really good
flying days, although not always coinciding with the weekends when most of us
get to the field.
Unless you
live in fairer climes (like our pals in Australia . . . ), I guess many of you
are contemplating getting on with some building over the coming months; if you
feel like recording your project with a few words and/or pictures, I know that
there are many of us who would be very interested to see what you are up to here
on ModelFlight.
I must
confess that my own progress as a beginner has not been as good as I had hoped
for - mainly because I have not been to the field as often as I would have liked, although I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute when I did get
there and not least the company of fellow enthusiasts. Even
repairing my trainer after my spectacular crash into the power lines was good
fun and very satisfying.
I
am still very much enjoying building my first fairly simple kit - the ATS Kite.
As with the flying, time spent on it has been a bit limited, but she's now ready
for covering. I didn't do too badly on the bit of covering on my Yamamoto
trainer; I hope this one goes o.k. as well!
On
the basis of progress and satisfaction in building the Kite, I have now
got the SIG Citabria in stock for my next project!
Regards to
all and please keep in touch with your news and views, pictures and
profiles!
