| THIS is the page for
aero-model pictures - your own, or others you've seen at the club or at
a show; they are all welcome if they're nice to look at!
If you're not into digital photography or
scanning pictures, why not send me some photos by regular mail? It's not too
pricey; a batch of five or
six photos costs $1.00 airmail postage from the USA, for example. My home address is on the home
page. |
When
I was browsing one of the photo albums on St John's R/C Flyers newly-designed
gallery pages that I told you about on #17, I rather liked this model
heli - looks like a Bell 206 JetRanger. I don't know anything about it - perhaps Craig or the pilot could
tell us?
This picture is not a thumbnail, by the
way, but the others on this page are. |

the Ergo!
This
very smart helicopter has recently arrived on the flying field of Test
Valley Model Flying Club, UK, and belongs to SIMON WISE. Believe
it or not, but it is basically an Ergo 30 that has been subject
to a host of modifications - in fact, there can be very little of the
original left but the radio tray!
Simon
has fitted a Webra ·50 engine, a Novarossi tuned pipe and just about
every upgrade that is available. It's been
subject to a long tail boom conversion with a K & S metal boom mount
and metal tail rotor assembly; a carbon push rod and twin tail boom supports;
carbon fibre side frames; modified fuel-feed system; a Millenium 60
undercarriage, K & S upgrades to the rotorhead; a JR high cyclic
head and 60cm carbon blades; home-made carbon fibre tail servo mount and
fins; K & S paddles
with a Shuttle flybar and a Millenium canopy. In the electronics
department, the machine has a Futaba GV1 governor and a Futaba GY501
gyro and the radio picks up its signal from a Quick's base-mounted
aerial. Lovely to look at, but oh, so expensive to crash!

| I've
received another nice batch of pics from Bob Nicol - here's three of
them with a few more in my picture reserve for another time! |
Here
we have a Super Chipmunk, powered with a Moki 210 and air retracs. You
can see that it is a fairly large model. Terry has built this in about 4
weeks, which takes some doing! |
This
is Jeff Slack's Hanger 9 CAP 232, powered by the new OS 160. A real
head-turner, by all accounts, it can do all the tricks in the book - 3D
Harrier, Pretner screw, waterfall, elevator, torque rolls, to name just
a few, says Bob.

Large or small, kit, scratch built or ARTF, rotary or fixed-wing,
