| THIS is the page for your
aero-model pictures.
If you're not into digital photography or
scanning pictures, why not send me some photos by regular mail? It's not too
pricey; a batch of five or
six photos costs $1.00 airmail postage from the USA, for example. My home address is on the home
page. |
Here's
John Hubbard with his dog Pepper and his JR Vigor.
John's in deep shadow under an awning, but you'll see a bit more detail
if you click the thumbnail. John was 'profiled' on Modelflight #11
and was on the last post-box page offering help and advice on helicopter
queries. |
| As mentioned in Marty Hammersmith's personal
profile, here's a couple more shots of some of his many planes. Great
colour schemes on these lovely looking models.
 On
the left is another shot of Marty's SIG 4 Star 120. The model
is covered with SIG Koverall and finished in scale Stits paint. This
model is powered by a 31 cc converted Ryobi weed-eater engine (garden
strimmer, to those of us for whom that is not a familiar term).
On the right is Marty's 1/4 scale CAP 232 (73"
wingspan) powered by a Saito 180 4-stroke. |
An
increasingly popular trainer on our club flying field is the ARC Ready.
It is an ARTF model with a 61" wingspan, 4-channel, and suitable
for a ·40 - ·53 2-stroke engine. Most are usually left unpainted in
white, but JUSTIN STABLES has made a really nice job of finishing this
one in yellow. See the cat's corner page
for news of the latest version of this model which has been brought to
my attention by fellow club member Cliff Sears. By the way,
congratulations are in order to Justin as he's just gone solo! |
| Our man in Newfoundland,
CRAIG TRICKETT,
sent me a tremendous collection of pictures taken at a recent funfly
held at Gander International Airport. Here's just four - but there will
be more! |
 |
Looks real? That's because it is! This
full-size Labrador landed just a few hundred feet from the funfly
site - a bonus for the heli fans. |
 |
Dave Plat 1:5 Spitfire, owned by
Fred Colbourne. Super Tiger 3000 for power and recently
re-covered by Fred with fiberglass and painted - it's around 10 years
old. |
 |
Great Planes Ultimate biplane.
Owned by John Shortall. It is powered by an OS46FX and is a real
nice flyer. |
 |
Oh dear, here comes the undertaker! I
won't add to the grief of the owners by recounting all the gory details,
but hard luck, lads! |
Now let's enjoy a sight of your favourite aero model
- large or small, kit or scratch built, ARTF, rotary or fixed-wing - and they
don't have to be perfect, either. If you like it, let's see it!
Just use the e-mail facility at the foot of any ModelFlight page or send
details and pictures by regular mail.
