The semi-scale twin-engine electric model has a big
59" wingspan and is 42" long. It is made of interlocking
ready-made smooth foam parts, hollow for lightness, stab interlocking
accurately into place; the wings have internal main spar, cowls have
air-cooling, steerable nose gear for good ground handling, superb decals
for instant decoration. The kit has pre-hinged ailerons, elevator and
rudder. Suitable for Speed 400 or 480 size motors, 4-channel control
makes this plane aerobatic, but with the huge wing area - 480 sq. ins. -
it lands and takes off easily. Price from Hobby-Lobby is $129,

Very
recently launched is the new 61" ARC Ready 2 which, the
press release says, 'retains
all of the successful features of the original - easy build, precision
parts fit, durability and vice-free flying characteristics - plus some
refinements (unspecified) which should make this new version even easier to build,
along with a new decal set'. Recommended engine size is ·40 - ·53 and
the model requires 4-channel radio. The price is £79.99 - £10 less
than its predecessor - and is available from Ripmax stockists.
