electric helicopter speed controllers

These are the new Microdrive M20H and M40H speed controllers from Benchmark Electronics and are designed specifically for use in electric helicopters. They will handle four large servos and a gyro and they have the motor brake replaced with a free wheel to enable autorotations. Their new circuitry eliminates noise interference and they will handle currents of 20 and 40 amps continuously. U.K. prices are £35 for the M20H and £52 for the M40H plus £1.50 p&p.

These controllers are not up yet on Benchmark's website where you can see details of some of their other specialist electronic control equipment but you could request further details or order by e-mail.

Here is the new Rapier Aerobatic Delta Aircraft from Balsacraft. It has a lightweight slot-together CNC cut airframe with large control surfaces and is designed for ·40 size engines. The kit contents provide everything you need to build the model (excluding radio, engine and servos, of course), including fuel tank, moulded canopy and spinner as well as comprehensive photo-illustrated instructions. The model has a 1160 mm wingspan and requires 3-6 channel radio with 3-4 servos.

The Rapier is distributed by Ripmax and the UK price is £44.99
