introducing DENIS WOLFF

DENIS is 66 and a retired flight engineer living at LESNEWTH, near Boscastle, Cornwall, UK.

It sounds as though Denis may live on his own, but he does have three grown up children.

He is particularly keen on vintage models and flies a Vintage Radio Queen, Junior 60, Hepcat/Mannock, a Lo-Boy and one new electric which he hasn't identified. He powers his models with mainly vintage diesels and an O.S. FS60.

Denis's interest in aero-modelling covers some 48 years and he flies with the Launceston club.

Nice to have heard from you Denis - thanks for taking the trouble. I hope I've got those model names right - I didn't recognise one or two of them. We haven't seen many vintage models on the photo gallery page, so if you've got any photos, I'd be particularly pleased to put them up on Modelflight.

and this is BRIAN LEWIS

BRIAN is a 30-year old marketing man who hails from Bridgman, Michigan, USA. He's married to Heather and they have a dog named Macy and a cat named Periwinkle who apparently don't get along too well!

Brian's particular interest in model flight lies in building and flying fixed-wing r/c sport planes of all types. He tried gliders last year, but didn't reckon to enjoy it much.

His current fleet consists of

a NorthEast Sailplanes "Pleaser"  with a 280 sized electric motor and 4:1 gear reduction unit;
a "Combat" ·20;
a Bob Parkinson Models F-16 Profile Prop Jet with a ·20 2-stroke;
a Midwest P-51 Mustang 40 with a ·48 4-stroke and retracts.

Brian has been involved in the hobby for 14 years and his club is Whirlwinds of South Michigan.

In addition to aero-modelling, Brian also dabbles in model railroading and enjoys working on "full scale" autos.

And, gratifyingly, this chap thinks ModelFlight is "top notch and much fun"!

Many thanks for getting in touch, Brian. It would be great to see some of your models - any chance of some piccies?

Join in the fun, send ModelFlight an e-mail and tell us about yourself, your family, hobbies and interests, what you do for a living, how long you've been model-making, what club you belong to, if any - in fact as much or as little as you see fit. Include a picture of yourself if you can.

Your e-mail address will be shown unless you specifically ask for it not to appear. Picture files ideally need to be in JPG format for best colour reproduction and to minimise time on-line.

If you want to send me pictures by conventional mail, my address is
