JOHN HUBBARD has recently visited ModelFlight for the first time and sent his personal profile using the response form which you will find at the foot of this page.

John is a 44-year old mechanic who comes from Independence, Oregon, USA. He is married to Evelyn and he has a step-daughter Linda and a step-granddaughter Shebly.

John's model fleet consists of a JR Vigor and TSK MYSTAR 60, an unfinished Ziroly Mustang, a Concept SRX and a Light Machines 100 known as a LMH I-FLY. He uses a JR 10X radio set.

John has been in the hobby for 27 years and belongs to Cascade Rotory Wings model flying club. I tried to visit John's club website, but unfortunately have been unable to connect.

meet ROGER FORGUES from Ontario, Canada

ROGER is 53 and lives in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. He is married to ORNA and he has a daughter Jennifer, 18, and a 15-year old step-son Travis.

Roger retired from General Motors in December 1998 after working for them for 30 years. He is now enjoying his retirement involving himself with anything to do with his hobby of radio control.

Roger is into scale aerobatics and helicopters, being particularly interested in aerial photography with the latter. If you visit his website (also on the links page), you can see something of his camera equipment. He flies a baby Giles 300 which you can have a look at on the photo gallery page. He has just taken delivery of a new kit, the Great Planes Extra 300L with a 100·5" wingspan which he intends to power with the ZDZ 80 twin engine. Send us a picture when it's finished please Roger! His photo-heli is an X-cell gas and his other heli is a Bergen Gas Intrepid. Roger also owns 2 Duncan Hutson SE5a with one built and the other still in the box.

Roger has been in the hobby for 40 years now and belongs to Cornwall Aero Modellers.

Roger has developed a Fiber Optic servo extension to eliminate glitches for large model aircraft. He has run some very successful tests on it and is in the process to market it.

I'm hoping we might hear more from Roger on his fiber optic servo extension (see Roger's letter on the post- box page) - keep watching the air space page!

Join in the fun, send ModelFlight an e-mail and tell us about yourself, your family, hobbies and interests, what you do for a living, how long you've been model-making, what club you belong to, if any - in fact as much or as little as you see fit. Include a picture of yourself if you can.

Your e-mail address will be shown unless you specifically ask for it not to appear. Picture files ideally need to be in JPG format for best colour reproduction and to minimise time on-line.
