| Here are two very "moody" pictures, one from
the Derbyshire Peaks in England and the other from the high plains of
Monterey, USA. |
PAUL CARR'S
Great Planes CAP 232, which he's flying here at his local club, the High
Peak Model Aero Club in Buxton, Derbyshire, England. Paul says this is really a
.40 size model, but this one is powered by an OS91 Fx which makes a real
good power-to-weight ratio.
Now click this thumbnail to see Paul's plane in
close-up.

TROY
STARK and his dog Pierra slope soaring in Monterey, USA.
The altititude is 8000 ft when the 'plane leaves your
hand - nothing to run into except wind and blue sky!
|
| Troy Stark and Mike
Smith are both members of Barnstormers R/C Club, Laramie,
Wyoming, USA from whose website these pictures were taken. There's a
new link to this website on the links page. |
MIKE
SMITH'S helicopters on display nose-to-nose.
Can you identify the models? |
HARRY
CURZON sent me this pic of his fun-fly Bearcat from the Global kit
which he says is no longer available in the UK. It's powered by a
Thunder Tiger Pro 46. Flaperons with elevator-to-flap mixing and
outrageous control sizes and throws make it lively. Low rates needed for landing, says Harry!
Here's something that's rather fun! The fuselage and
its canopy are profile, which made for an interesting problem finding a
pilot figure for it. How did Harry solve it? He took a photo of himself in
profile on a digital camera, transferred it to his PC, resized, copied and
flipped it, then printed and glued the two sides together for a profile pilot of
himself flying his own model. Brilliant!
