 | Tell us all about your model flying club.
E-mail me with some idea of the sort of facilities
you have, size of membership, flying rules, subscription rates, training facilities, types of model
flown, social activities, special events, site availability, guest arrangements,
frequency of meetings, location, or anything else you can think to
mention. Pictures will also be most welcome, and if you want to send me
pictures by conventional post, my address now appears on the home
page. If your club has a website, let me know the address and I will
pay you a virtual visit! |

This
is the logo of the home club of FRANK DRECCHIO whose personal
profile and article appeared in ModelFlight #7. I made a virtual visit to The
Sunday Flyers by visiting their website , and here is just a bit about
them for your interest. |
| The Sunday Flyers is one of the largest Radio
Control Clubs in the state of Maryland and is a spin-off from the Flight
Streaks control-line club from the 1960s.
The Sunday Flyers began as a radio-control club around 1973 and
although it is primarily a radio-control club, they still embrace all
aspects of aero-modelling.
The club's instructors have a combined experience of over 200 years
in the r/c hobby - they must have a lot of instructors or else they're
very old!
Membership is open to anyone and the club has doctors, policemen,
salesmen, CPAs (pensioners?), computer programmers and people from all walks of life
on their membership roll -
and including many father and son members who have been enjoying the
hobby for years.

Today the club has almost 150 active members
enjoying flying all types of model aircraft at their two suburban flying
sites, and membership continues to grow.
