Hi Friends,
For those of you for whom Easter meant a bit of a
holiday, I do hope it was enjoyable and you managed to get some
flying in, if that was what you wanted! Here in the south of England
the weather was very changeable, but we did manage to get out on the
field at my club, although there were not many folk about. By
way of contrast, our May bank holiday weather was superb.
There are a couple of changes to the site on this
update. Firstly, I am incorporating 'hints & tips' into the
'plane talk'
page, so any little gems you may have by way of gadgets, gizmos and
tips will go into 'plane
talk' in future. Secondly, I have come to
the conclusion that the 'www' page of international events was probably not serving
any useful purpose, since its equivalent is available in every
modelling magazine I have ever picked up - indeed, they give much
more detail of local events than would make sense in the world-wide
web setting of ModelFlight. I have therefore dropped it
from the site, but if you do think it is of any value, it can be
quickly re-introduced. Alternatively, rather than covering major
events we could go the other way and I would be happy to put
information on about your own special events, as I did with the
Felixstowe (UK) Show for Rob Sherratt and the Flog 'n Fly meeting of
the Test Valley Model Flying Club - by the way, where are you Rob -
we haven't heard from you
lately?
There are new visitors to the site every time it is
updated, so rather than keep on explaining the concept behind
ModelFlight on this page and also to answer the questions
that are asked about yours truly, I have added a permanent page
called read
all about it! that says a bit about me and ModelFlight.
Once you've read it, you can ignore it in future updates, of
course, although I'll let you know if there's any thing new on it
that you might be interested
in!
I've included a picture on the picture
gallery page that you might like to 'save as wallpaper' for your
desktop - in any case, I hope you enjoy it. Here's how it looks on
my PC, centred and stretched.

By the way, if you find my standard type-sizes too
large or small, you can change their size from the Text Size option
on the View menu of Internet Explorer and there's possibly a similar
option on other browsers too.
Happy
landings,

ModelFlight.
