ModelFlight
virtually a model flying club |

Home Page
Welcome to ModelFlight #6. My
thanks
to those of you who have been in touch and all who have visited the site -
visitors are currently running at around 400 per update which is certainly
a goodly number for a model flying club membership but we have a much
greater potential than that - please tell your flying friends about ModelFlight
and invite them to pay a visit.
I have added a response form to
the personal profiles page
to make it quicker and easier for you to respond and in the hope you will therefore
have a go. If you find any difficulty in transmitting the form, could you
please e-mail me and let me know? I have followed my service provider's
script very carefully in compiling the form, but this update is the first
real test of it.
For
those of you who have not visited the site before, let me explain that ModelFlight
sets out to be a virtual model flying club. It is not a magazine, but
an interactive forum that depends on contributions for any of its pages
from any of you who care to e-mail material to me. I am a model flight enthusiast, although still very much a beginner, and I
produce and update this site on a fortnightly basis just for the fun of
it! Items will sometimes appear for two consecutive updates,
depending on how much material I have available.
The site is non-commercial in that
it does not generate any revenue, but I am keen and happy to receive
material from suppliers, distributors and model-flight-related companies -
many of whom have already been very complimentary about the concept and
content of ModelFlight.
As each page on the site is independent of
any other, the site has deliberately been designed to
be easy to navigate - you can get to any page from any
page. I also
try to ensure that graphic images do not take too long to download and
that the site is viewable on a 640 x 480 screen without the necessity to
scroll left and right - for this reason previous viewers will, perhaps,
notice that I
have removed the side navigation bars. Don't
forget, once you have visited each page, you can disconnect from the web
and view the site at your leisure, particularly useful to remember when -
like those of us in the UK - you have to pay call charges all the time you are
online.
So, this is your opportunity to get
on the web without having to build a site of your own! I hope you enjoy
what you find here and I warmly invite you
to participate in the club and help increase the fun and success of ModelFlight.
Happy landings,

ModelFlight.
