Microsoft has fairly recently released their Software Development Kit for FS2000, so all sorts of new scenery, aircraft and other products should soon be getting into the shops, and a few such offerings are outlined on this page. New aircraft and scenery for FLY! is also coming out at a fair pace, so keep watching your software supplier.

Here's a couple of aircraft collections that might appeal. 3 Great Planes Blue Box for FS2000 contains the DHC-6 Twin Otter, Piper Cherokee and Cessna Caravan, whilst the 3 Great Planes Gold Box for FS Combat Flight Simulator contains P51 Dakota Kid,  F4U5  Corsair and Spitfire MK IXb. They all boast unrivalled realism and detail, polished virtual surfaces, accurate flight characteristics, animated moving parts and original instrument panels. £14.99 each set.

Airport 2000, volume 2 is Wilco Publishing's award-winning add-on for MS Flight Simulator, optimised for FS2000 but also fully compatible with FS98. This add-on has seven new airports, nine new 'planes with faithfully-reproduced panels, plus adventures.

London Heathrow, Barcelona, Nice, Amsterdam Schipol, Boston Logan, Miami International and Chicago O'Hare are presented in all their glory with actual hangars, maintenance buildings and taxiways as well as selected restaurants, gates, departure screens, lounges and shops inside. Ground markings are extremely realistic and there's car and bus traffic traversing the tarmac, textured static aircraft and other aircraft taxiing and taking off around you.

The fully interactive Air Traffic Control and internal announcements sound both awesome and challenging! There's a co-pilot to assist you throughout the adventure flights by telling you when you've overlooked a procedure or when something goes wrong when you have to follow real flight procedures, including handling emergencies such as a flame-out on take-off, a tyre blowing out or an in-flight engine fire that triggers an alarm and requires you to use the working fire panel. A full manual is included with airport diagrams, approach charts and detailed pilot manual. Cost £26.99. For full product details and more screenshots go to the publisher's website at www.wilcopub.com

FS Traffic. You might like to try this if ever you've fancied being able to tinker with MS Flight Simulator yourself. This special utility actually enables you to add moving aircraft to any airport in FS98 and FS2000. It has been designed for ease of use, simplicity and stability. Frame rates will remain steady as you add realistic aircraft taxiing, taking off and landing movements up to 30 at any one time. Cost £17.99.
