HERE'S the when, what, and where of major events in the modelling world calendar. If you're involved in such an event and want it listed, then e-mail the details and I will pop it in the diary - and if you've left it too late to notify your favourite magazine there could still be plenty of time for it to appear here!

See below the table for some additional details of the Felixstowe Show.

When using the UK telephone numbers from outside the UK, precede the number with 44 and omit the opening 0 in the number shown.

As the Felixstowe 2000 Heli show is organised by a ModelFlight contributor (Rob Sherratt), here are a few extra details on this event.

The Show is very much a "hands on and get involved" affair for helicopter and r/c electric airplane pilots. The Saturday programme is a fun fly-in day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The BMFA have offered free 1-day membership of the BMFA for anyone wanting to "have a go" for the first time, and Flyin Fish are making dual-control r/c helicopters available on the Sunday for anyone booking in advance. Entrance on Saturday is £2.

Sunday 25th June is given over to a public flying show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. when BMFA insurance certification and B license is needed for anyone flying unsupervised. There is an added family flavour to the show with bouncy castles, steam traction engine rides and Punch and Judy for the youngsters. Entrance is £2 on the gate, £1 concessions. There's free admission, camping, BBQ and raffle prizes for helpers and people who fly on Sunday. All proceeds from the event go to Orwell High School, Felixstowe.
