 | Everybody seems to have some little trick, gadget or tip that
they've learned, made or picked up along the way in their modelling
experience - send me details in an e-mail and share your good ideas

Nylon luggage straps make very good slings
in which to suspend your model from the shed roof. It takes a little
practice to open and close the snap-clasps with one hand whilst holding
your model somewhere around the point of balance with the other, but you
soon get the hang of it (no pun intended)! |

If you are thinking of going for the Ikarus ECO Piccolo indoor r/c helicopter, you might like to know
that there is a very good article on it by Jon Tanner in the April issue
of Model Helicopter World. It is not only a good review of the
model, but also has some helpful building tips. What a tempting little
machine it is - and I notice that my friend Neville has one in stock
...! |

These little plastic pushrod keepers also
make neat aerial tidies, keeping the wire taut but allowing some give if
put under too much strain. On the left, fixed atop the tailplane; on the
right, held back to the heli fin with an elastic band. 10 for around £1 |
