Here is something really innovative - claimed to be the first practical electrical generator for model airplane engines. The GENESYS system weighs just 5.5 ounces (156 g.) and can generate up to 800 mA, enough to run the radio sysem and maintain battery charge at the same time. The system can run many accessories that would be impractical on battery power alone. As long as the engine is running you have unlimited flight time! It looks like tank size is the limiting factor, then!
